Gayatri gets anxious as Palak and Payal had not yet returned home from school. She shares her worries with Maya. At that time, Palak and Payal return home.

Palak complains to Gayatri that Yash did not reach on time to pick them up from the school. Gayatri gets furious when she learns that Palak and Payal had to wait alone for a long time for Yash after the school. 

Maya instigates Gayatri against Aarti. She alleges that Yash must have got late due to Aarti as she always wants Yash to be with her.

Gayatri confronts Aarti for reaching late to the school. Yash intervenes and supports Aarti. He tells Gayatri that he got late in a meeting and so could not reach school on time. Gayatri states that if Yash had got late, Aarti should have gone ahead to pick up Palak and Payal. Aarti apologizes to Gayatri and assures not to repeat the mistake.

Later, Maya mocks Aarti for trying her best to prove that she had changed her behavior. Maya also states that Aarti would never gain respect from Payal and Palak as she was their stepmother.

Aarti firmly states that she would fulfill all the responsibilities of a good mother. Maya gets apprehensive when Aarti states that Yash was not yet aware of Maya's trick to separate her and Yash.

The following day, Aarti asks Yash for some money. Yash asks her to take the money from the locker and gives her the locker code which is his wedding anniversary date with Arpita. Aarti feels hurt when Yash asks her about her and Prashant's wedding anniversary. Yash apologizes and leaves.

After Yash leaves, Aarti states that she does not have any past and that she only wanted to give her present the best and live happily with Yash and his family.
