Review By: Komal Nahta
Eros International and Kunal Kohli Productions' Teri Meri Kahaani (UA) is a love story that rests on the premise that there is something called as eternal love. It talks about the love story of two lovers, set in three different eras – in year 1910, year 1960 and year 2012.
Sam and Kunal Kohli have written a story which doesn't mean much because it is not clear what they are trying to imply by showing that the two lovers had met in two earlier lifetimes too. The screenplay, penned by Robin Bhatt and Kunal Kohli, does not offer the excitement of a love drama. On the plus side are some of the humorous scenes in each of the love stories. Lack of emotions is a big minus point of the screenplay. Kunal Kohli's dialogues are very good.
Shahid Kapoor is excellent in all the three roles. He will be adored by the female audiences. His dances are, of course, absolutely delightful as he is just too graceful. Priyanka Chopra also shines as Aradhana, Rukhsar and Radha. She does the fullest justice to all her roles and looks pretty too. Her dances, too, are lovely.
Kunal Kohli's direction is fair. He has not been able to add the entertainment quotient to the desired level.
Sajid-Wajid's music is very good. Prasoon Joshi's lyrics have depth.
On the whole, Tere Meri Kahaani has some entertaining moments but lacks overall entertainment value. It is a love tale which fails to touch the heart.
